They claim: "FaceReader from Profiler1: Personality Traits analysis based on facial features."
The Personality Traits of the normative Big 5 test (OCEAN openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism) ???
The Personality Traits of the well-known normative 16PF5 test ???
No!!! The Personality Traits of a proprietary model, it seems to be only an ipsative model, not a normative one.
It is not a personality pattern like:
Client #01 ---- 16PF5 Profile
A: Warmth; B: Reasoning; C: Emotional_Stability; E: Dominance; F: Liveliness; G: Rule_Consciousness; H: Social_Boldness; I: Sensitivity; L: Vigilance; M: Abstractedness; N: Privateness; O: Apprehension; Q1: Openness_to_Change; Q2: Self_Reliance; Q3:Perfectionism; Q4: Tension. 16 variables taking integer values from 1 to 10
Women (or men) with plastic surgery or a retouched photo (Photoshoped) will introduce bias in the assessment.
The cost of that service is in the range of acquiring the individual license of the 16PF5 test!
ThomasKnowsPleople is an adapted ipsative DISC personality model.
PerfectMatch is an adapted ipsative MBTI personality model.
Chemistry is a proprietary ipsative Explorer, Builder, Negotiator, Director personality model.
eHarmony, eCift/Parship, Be2, MeeticAffinity/DatingDirectAffinity/MatchAffinity use the normative Big5 personality model.
Worldwide, no one dating site uses the 16PF5 normative personality test.
"Personology is known for its reliability and accuracy. It is the science of exposing an individual's personality based on one's facial structure. "
Who independently validated, audited, certified the reliability and the accuracy of that method correlating with personality traits???
As it is an indirect method, FaceReader from Profiler1 does not asses personality traits with a normative test like the 16PF5, It will have a lot of distortion!!!
I would love to see a paper showing the correlations of facial features with the traits of their own personality model!!!
Personology is like handwriting analysis, music - films/movies/video - bookmarks - colors preferences or graphic quizzes to assess personality traits, ALL indirect methods, ADD a lot of DISTORTION to the measurement.
The best way to assess personality of daters is using a normative instrument.
They show compatibility between prospective daters as a percentage, like 85%, so it suffers from the range convergence phenomenon I had discovered during 2003
"Personality Match. It lets your users choose their spouse's preferred personality traits and our service shows the most suitable matches among your site"
Those sliders are quite similar as the ones used by True during 2009
If you can tune the personality sliders of the person you want to meet with, it is not a compatibility matching method per se, it is only a sophisticated way of searching, and most probably that person you want to meet with, does not want to meet with you!!!
Papers showing the newest & freshest Research in Theories of Romantic Relationships Development clearly show: Compatibility is all about a high level on personality similarity between prospective mates for long term mating with commitment.
In compatibility matching methods there are 2 steps:
(1) to objectively measure personality traits or other human variables.
* WorldWide, there are over 5,000 online dating sites but no one is using the 16PF5 (or similar test like 15FQ+) to assess personality of its members.
Without offering the 16PF5 (or similar test measuring exactly the 16 personality factors, the complete inventory as established by Dr. Raymond Cattell during 1949) for serious dating, it will be impossible to innovate and revolutionize the Online Dating Industry.
The ensemble (whole set of different valid possibilities) of the 16PF5 is: 10E16, big number as All World Population is nearly 6.7 * 10E9
(2) to calculate compatibility between prospective mates.
* I had invented a new quantitative method to calculate compatibility (similarity) between prospective mates, based on quantized pattern comparison (part of pattern recognition by correlation) named LIFEPROJECT METHOD.
